Join our client as a Server Engineer in Christchurch, offering server build, monitoring, and support services on the Microsoft stack.

What you will do:
As our Server Engineer, you'll wear multiple hats. From diagnosing problems to implementing complex IT solutions, your role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction. Expect to liaise with clients, uphold exceptional service standards, and share your expertise with team members. You will also closely collaborate with our system and network engineers, all the while reporting to our Company Operations Manager. In essence, your days will be packed with challenges, and learning.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Technical Know-how: Familiar with HP, IBM, Dell, Windows operating systems for PC's and Servers? We need you! Experience with tools like OneView, Insight Manager and Windows Remote Desktop? Even better.
• Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Have hands-on experience with Windows Hyper-V and VMware? Can you deploy, configure, and manage them? Brilliant!
• Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, NAT, QoS, FTP, SMTP... If these acronyms sound familiar, you're on the right track.
• Administrative Skills: From record-keeping to inventory management, ensure all is ship-shape.
• People Skills: A team player who can also communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

And if you've got exposure to enterprise storage like HPE 3Par or Nimble and understand routing and switching tech across vendors like Cisco and HP? Well, that's the cherry on top!
