Our client is seeking a dedicated Production Systems Support Specialist for immediate start, based in sunny Nelson.

Our client offers a dynamic work environment where a Production Systems Support Specialist will oversee the technological backbone of production sites across New Zealand. With a focus on applications and technology spanning multiple divisions, the role is integral to the company's operations. 

What you will do:
As a Production Systems Support Specialist, you'll ensure the smooth operation of production systems, manage application support, conduct thorough product testing, and integrate new functionalities. You will work closely with the development team to resolve escalated issues and will be proactive on the production floor, showcasing a genuine interest and understanding of the technology and processes in play.  You will handle issues, test products, manage integrations, and advocate for end-users. Regular travel across the South Island and occasional on-call duties are part of this exciting role.

Your role is pivotal in maintaining system stability and performance, aligning with the company's commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Diploma in Information Systems or higher.
• Experience in application support and product testing.
• Knowledgeable in printers, databases, web services, and applications.
• Proficient with computer networks, storage, and Windows OS.
• Versed in project and software release processes.
• Understanding of food manufacturing regulatory requirements.
• A curious mindset and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
