What our client can offer:
Our client operates in the primary industry  in a variety of locations around New Zealand. An established business, they are growing fast and to support this are modernizing and transforming a number of business and IT systems and processes. Based in their modern and well appointed Christchurch head office and with a hybrid work model, this is a Monday to Friday full time contract role that will be 18+ months in duration. With a collaborative and welcoming environment you will join a great team who are well led and are fully engaged in delivering.  

What you will do:
In this role you will lead the high level discovery phase, which is a strategic exercise in identifying and  selecting a suitable ERP system, and then you will lead the implementation. With a specific focus on Finance process and modules, this involves running comprehensive workshops to align standard ERP features with our client's specific needs, and challenging existing ways of working  to optimise processes. You will be instrumental in drafting detailed business cases and project plans, ensuring that all requirements and milestones are clearly defined and agreed upon. Your expertise will guide the process of selecting a preferred supplier or platform, setting the stage for a successful implementation.

Skills and experience we are looking for:
  • Significant experience with finance modules in tier 2 ERP systems in small to medium businesses
  • Proven ability to structure and prioritise business requirements
  • Expertise in leading design workshops and drafting business cases
  • Strong background in system implementation and project management
  • Experience in a shared services function supporting multiple business lines
  • Skill in balancing strategic thinking with practical, day-to-day challenges
