Our client seeks an AWS / DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and maintaining their cloud-based environments.

What you will do:
In your role as a AWS / DevOps Engineer you will play a crucial part in providing support and engineering in the systems and networking areas, taking in on-prem infrastructure, public and private cloud.

Your expertise will be instrumental in resolving any stakeholder concerns, and you will be active in an ongoing programme transitioning to modern cloud technologies. You’ll be getting stuck in at a technical level. Responsibilities will include implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications, monitoring system performance and ensuring security best practices are followed. 

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• A relevant tertiary or polytechnic qualification or equivalent experience and training
• Junior to intermediate level experience within AWS / DevOps engineering
• Proven experience deploying and managing staging and production workloads on the cloud (ideally AWS) 
• Strong knowledge of AWS services 
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell 
• Knowledge of security concepts and firewalls
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef 
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools, ideally Terraform
