Our client manages farm, horticulture and forestry investments in a variety of locations around New Zealand. An established business, they are growing fast, and to support this are modernising and transforming a number of business and IT systems and processes. Based in their modern and well appointed Christchurch head office, this is a Monday to Friday full time permanent role. With a collaborative and welcoming environment you will join a supportive team who are well led and are fully engaged in delivering. Applicants may be required to travel to properties/sites around the country from time to time. The annual salary range is $80k - $90k. 
What you will do:
Reporting to the IST Manager, the purpose of the IST Business Systems Analyst is to deliver business improvements, through system design, configuration, testing, deployment/training and support. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into system solutions.

Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Requirements gathering and analysis through collaboration with business users, documenting their needs and conducting analysis of processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Change and Project Management through leading and coordinating changes to software applications including planning, resourcing and managing risks, and leading technical change through the development, test and production landscape.
  • Configuration of software and systems to meet requirements, creating documentation and ensuring configuration meets security and wider architectural standards.
  • Training and Rollouts including creating end user guides and SOPs and providing training and support to ensure effective utilisation. 
  • System administration support and maintenance through provisioning of accounts and permissions, system performance monitoring, upgrade management and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Vendor Management, ensuring delivery meets budgets and deadlines and escalating performance issues as required.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
To be considered for this role you will have 5-7 years experience in a similar role, within a shared service environment as a business partner.

Applications are invited from intermediate level Analysts who can demonstrate the following:
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Business Analysis or similar.
  • ITIL Foundation training or equivalent experience
  • Experience with business analysis techniques such as customer journey, business process mapping, design requirements elicitation and stakeholder analysis.
  • Functional understanding of business applications such as Financial ERPs, CRM and HRIS.
  • Full application lifecycle experience - analysis, design, build, test, deploy, train, support and maintain.
  • Experience managing small projects and coordinating resources
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise, meet deadlines and balance strategic thinking with day to day challenges
  • The ability to build relationships to gain trust to ensure the acceptance of change.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, confidence, initiative, reliability.
  • A willingness to be office based to be close to the business, users and the team.
