Product Manager - Community

• Lead digital product initiatives across Community based portfolios
• $145K–$165K base salary. Hybrid structure, modern tools, and internal progression.
• Auckland-based role, 2–3 days on-site, collaborative public sector environment

You’ll work on digital products that directly support library services, community access, and wellbeing initiatives. The organisation supports hybrid working and provides structured planning frameworks, stakeholder governance, and leadership support. Internal pathways exist for advancement into Principal or Programme-level positions. Engagements with community groups, elected members, and internal product teams will broaden your influence and support high-impact delivery.

What you will do:
You will lead digital product development for public-facing services. This includes defining roadmaps, managing vendor delivery, and aligning products with both  strategy and community needs. Your role includes maintaining roadmaps, overseeing quarterly planning, and ensuring product outcomes meet accessibility, regulatory, and strategic requirements. You’ll contribute to long-term portfolio planning while resolving delivery issues and aligning funding with roadmap goals. Political awareness and internal relationship management are critical for success in this setting.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Proven experience delivering digital products in local government or public services
• Background in Community Serrvices, Libraries, Parks and Leisure Facilites
• Able to work with multi-disciplinary teams (policy, tech, delivery, operations)
• Working knowledge of Agile, service design, and public procurement frameworks
• Strong reasoning, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Confident working with political stakeholders and adapting to shifting priorities
• Comfortable aligning delivery with long-term strategic planning and objectives
• Must be Auckland-based or able to attend on-site several days per week
