Intermediate BI and Data Analyst

• 3 month contract role paying $80–90 per hour
• Office based role in Christchurch, modern offices, parking
• Balanced workload across analysis, support, and reporting

Based in their modern and well appointed Christchurch head office, this is a Monday to Friday full time contract role for 3 months. This contract offers variety across a mix of BAU and project work.  Our client values precision in data handling and a high level of customer service and engagement across its internal functions. In this caretaker role you will be able to apply your skills in a setting that values consistency and thorough analysis, with scope to contribute to platform improvements and ongoing projects.

What you will do:
You will manage daily and weekly checks of Power BI dashboards and system alerts. You will triage and escalate data issues while maintaining the flow of accurate reporting.

A large portion of your time will be spent resolving data import problems, testing financial data accuracy, and working with suppliers on format or integration changes. You will support project deliverables by validating data mappings, creating dashboards, and configuring new connections. Administrative work such as reporting, compliance, and project tracking will also form part of the role.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Intermediate BI and Data Analyst experience
• Strong skills in Power BI, SQL, and data validation
• Proven record of issue resolution in payroll and financial data
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and data mapping
• Accuracy in documentation and reporting procedures
• Ability to communicate clearly with business users and suppliers
• Right to work in New Zealand (contract onsite in Christchurch)
