Junior Project Manager (6 months)

Our client is delivering significant work across regulatory change and updates to their commercial operating model. You’ll join a well-structured programme with an experienced Senior Project Manager, clear expectations, and strong organisational support.

This is a tight timeframe project offering an excellent opportunity for a junior-level project manager to step up, own parts of the plan, and build real capability in regulatory and business process change. You’ll gain exposure to both business and IT stakeholders, with touchpoints across price file updates, SAP changes and light automation. This environment suits someone organised, proactive and eager to develop within a complex commercial setting.

What you will do: 
This role is best suited to an experienced Project Administrator ready to step up, or a Junior Project Manager comfortable operating in a support capacity while still taking ownership of key deliverables.

• Support delivery across regulatory and operating model workstreams
• Own components of the project plan and drive assigned deliverables
• Manage risks, issues, actions and dependencies confidently
• Coordinate resources and keep momentum across a busy programme
• Engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Support business process and compliance-driven change, with some exposure to supporting tech updates
• Work closely with a Senior Project Manager while independently leading your own stream
• Contribute to documentation, governance, and project reporting

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Experience as a Junior Project Manager or strong Project Administrator ready to step up
• Solid grasp of project management fundamentals and delivery disciplines
• Highly organised, proactive and switched on
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable working on regulatory and process-driven initiatives, not just digital projects
• Able to take ownership, work independently and drive outcomes
• Ability to start pre-Christmas or from 5 January

Additional:
Candidates must be available for in-person interviews in Christchurch, hold current NZ working rights, and be able to commence within the required timeframe.
