Business Systems Analyst

Sutherland Group is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support the enhancement of key business systems across the Group.

What our client can offer:

Sutherland Group is a long-established, family-owned business operating for over 100 years. The Group comprises a sawmill operation, ITM stores, and a Management Services Company providing shared services

This role sits within the Management Services Company and provides business systems expertise and support to the operating entities across the Group.

What you will do
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely together to analyse, prioritise and deliver a range of projects aimed at enhancing ERP and financial systems. This will focus on improving data integrity, system integration, automation opportunities and improving overall operational efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join the team on an initial 1-year fixed-term contract, with potential for extension. This role will suit a down-to-earth, highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.

This is a varied role across multiple entities, requiring excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to manage several projects concurrently. You will be comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, while maintaining a professional and collaborative approach.

Skills and experience we are looking for

• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a finance and/or systems-focused role
• Experience in manufacturing, wholesale, or inventory-intensive environments
• Experience working within multi-entity ERP environments is highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between finance, technical and operational stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience influencing non-finance stakeholders to embed system and process improvements
• Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused with a positive “can-do” attitude
