General Manager - Digital

The General Manager Digital will be a key senior management team member, leading the digital strategy, operational and improvement workstreams for Season's Best.

A Talley’s Group company, Season’s Best is geared for growth, underpinned by a significant capital investment in their Ashburton plant, with ambitious plans to further vegetable production in the coming years.

We now seek a GM Digital, based in Christchurch to lead digital strategy and operations, owning all improvement workstreams and making decisions best suited for Season's Best.

What you will do:
A newly created position, key responsibilities will involve:

• Reviewing existing systems (ERP, Data and Reporting) and processes to determine fitness for purpose, and identifying strategic and operational improvement opportunities
• Driving automation and streamlining opportunities across the business.
• Engaging and leading the team (BI Development, Service Desk, and Systems Engineering) to prioritise work and drive efficiency, with a strong focus on process improvement and delivering value.
• Engaging a broader shared services team to ensure digital systems (Fabric, D365, Production Inventory Systems) effort is being applied in the right places at the right time, delivering value to the business.
• Collaborating with the GM Digital of Seafood on common strategy, ideas, and opportunities, and joining the wider Talley's Group of IT Managers, meeting regularly to share strategy, architecture, and learnings.

Skills and experience we are looking for:
We are seeking a leader who can truly own the digital strategy, is a strong collaborator, and is keen to challenge the status quo to drive significant improvement. The successful candidate will likely come from a Systems/ERP/Applications leadership background and will have held an IT Management or GM Digital level role, ideally within a New Zealand-owned business.
