This role sits within a product-led organisation with close ties to the construction sector. It is part of a global team taking its first steps into New Zealand. The team builds practical tools used in real conditions, giving the work clear purpose. Engineers own their features and contribute to technical direction, which supports growth over time. What you will do:

Design and build new features across a connected platform that manages equipment and asset data.
Write clean, reliable code that supports performance and scale. You will test your work and ensure it meets quality standards before release.
Work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver consistent outcomes.
Guide less experienced developers through code reviews and practical support.
Contribute to system design, API structure, and database performance.
Take part in planning and help shape future product direction.
Maintain clear documentation to support ongoing development.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

8+ years in software development across full stack environments
Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
Experience with C#, .NET, or Python with intent to work in a Node.js stack
Solid understanding of SQL and exposure to NoSQL systems
Experience building and maintaining microservices
Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployment
Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, S3, or VPC
Experience working with large data systems and messaging tools such as RabbitMQ
Strong problem-solving ability across complex systems
Clear communication and ability to work in a distributed team
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
New Zealand working rights.
