Join a leading Christchurch organisation as a contract Learning Designer, playing a key role in a significant and high-profile system implementation project. 

What our client can offer:
Our client, a well-established Christchurch organisation, has an exciting five-month contract opportunity, starting ASAP for a talented Learning Designer. You will join their Change Management and Training team, working onsite in Christchurch at the centre of a major ERP implementation. This is a high-impact role within a collaborative, project-focused team with a clear purpose and strong programme leadership.

What you will do:
As Learning Designer, you will apply your pedagogical expertise to develop a full suite of engaging, innovative learning solutions supporting staff adoption of a new ERP system. This spans both classroom-based content (facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and job aids) and digital formats including eLearning modules, instructional videos, and performance support tools. In addition to this, you will build interactive, visually compelling eLearning content, and script, edit, and publish instructional videos.

You will develop end-to-end learning content encompassing clear learning objectives, assessment, and evaluation, while ensuring all materials align with organisational branding and learning outcomes. Working closely with subject matter experts, business analysts, reviewers, and other project staff, you will translate complex system content into realistic, active learning experiences. 

Skills and experience we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 3 years' proven experience in a Learning Design role, spanning classroom, blended, and digital learning formats.
  • A tertiary qualification (NZQA Level 7 or equivalent) in Education, Learning Design, Instructional Design, eLearning, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools including Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and Camtasia or equivalent video editing software, with demonstrated experience in video creation, editing, and publishing.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models, 
  • The ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and deliver to tight deadlines in a dynamic project environment, with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and produce clear, accurate documentation.
Candidates must hold valid working rights in New Zealand, be based in Christchurch and available for full-time onsite work.
