We work with a range of clients who require experienced field engineers on a contract basis across the South Island. Roles vary in length and technical focus but share a common thread - they are hands-on, site-based, and require someone who is comfortable travelling regularly out of Christchurch.

What you will do:
Field engineering roles we recruit for typically involve hands-on technical work across multiple sites, working to defined processes and documentation standards. You will be comfortable working independently in the field, including out-of-hours where required, and confident in handing over completed work cleanly and professionally.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Hands-on experience in a field-based technical role - whether in IT, networking, telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• A methodical approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and documentation.
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own time effectively in the field.
• Clear and professional communication skills, particularly when working alongside non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the South Island, including overnight stays where required.
• A valid full NZ driver's licence.

Experience in multi-site or distributed environments is a plus, as is familiarity with structured project or deployment frameworks.

For most roles, you must be currently based in Christchurch and hold valid ongoing working rights in New Zealand.
