What would I be doing?
The primary focus of this role is to establish and implement fibre network designs and optimising network utilisation. Specifically your duties will include:
- Developing an Engineering and Architectural Road Map.
- Leading role in Network Engineering decisions.
- Identifying new products, technologies and ways of operating.
- Determining and implementing network decisions utilising Architectural and Engineering principles.
- Assisting in facilitating the advancement of Engineering within the company.
- Ensuring optimal network solutions are scoped/designed and forwarded to contractor for implementation.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- 5+ years of Ethernet and Carrier Network Engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of Huawei technology, MPLS network design and GPON architecture.
- A deep understanding of both the logical and physical Ethernet and Optical Networks.
- Technical expertise in all areas of the network hardware and software interconnection/interfacing.
- Excellent process delivery and organisation skills with an understanding of technical jargon and practices.
- A high level of numeracy/literacy and verbal & written communication skills.
