Our client’s Service Desk Engineers are known for their high level of skill and expertise. The company invests heavily in training and upskilling, and their Service Desk Engineers are regularly cycled onto projects or into promoted roles - there's really no limit to how far you can go. While this is a 3 month contract to start, there are potential options here for longer term employment.

What would I be doing?
The Service Desk offers predominantly Business Application and IT systems technical support to a range of internal clients, and is a busy and varied work environment. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic and highly engaged user centric organisation where you will be a critical part of what makes this company so good. Some key aspects of your role will be:
  • Incident Management including providing dedicated support per incident.
  • With each incident you’ll be assessing urgency, investigation and diagnosis, tracking, appropriate escalation, and all associated documentation.
  • Fostering and maintaining excellent internal relationships.
  • Proactively and positively contributing to the culture and dynamism!
What do I need?
Above all else, you need the right attitude. We’re keen to hear from applicants with commercial helpdesk/service desk experience who want to be part of this dynamic team. Your genuine and relentless commitment to the delivery of excellent service will be well rewarded here!

You’ll also need to meet at least two of the following criteria:
  • Workplace experience on an IT service desk providing Tier 1 or 2 support
  • Tertiary training in IT or Engineering (and/or relevant industry certifications)
  • Experience in an IT applications or technical support role.
You must have:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Unrestricted working rights in New Zealand
  • The ability to present in Christchurch for interview
