What’s in it for me?
This is your opportunity to work for an iconic New Zealand manufacturing company proud of its local and international reputation for being a market leader in its field and for maintaining end to end manufacturing in New Zealand. You will be joining a small but high performing team of specialist technical BA's and Business Process Analysts concentrating on the implementation of a new ERP System.

What would I be doing?
This is a varied role that will draw on your diverse skill set, but initially your focus will be on analysing current business processes, creating maps and identifying gaps. Longer term the role will also include support for this key business system, ensuring that business processes are documented and users are appropriately trained in the use of the applications as well as investigating and resolving issues that arise, investigating and analysing the impact of process changes required and developing and maintaining reports and outputs required from the various systems.

Specific duties will include:
  • Develop and maintain business process models for key business systems and assist with business process re-engineering.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to be used for user training.
  • Assist with application configuration, testing and data cleansing activities when upgrades or other significant changes are made to business systems.
  • Investigate application issues to determine the root cause and identify and implement actions required to resolve them.
  • Where issues require vendor supplied or developed fixes, manage the testing and implementation of these fixes.
  • Where a change to business processes is required, document and fully test the change to understand the impact of the change and give appropriate training to impacted users.

What do I need?
We invite applications from Degree qualified or suitably experienced candidates who ideally come from a product centric background who understand product life-cycle from concept to manufacturing. Strong communication skills and the ability to work alongside a wide variety of colleagues will be important, as will the need to be a good team player, be highly organised and methodical, and have good project coordination skills.

While experience with M3 or other Tier One ERP Systems is essential, ideally candidates will also demonstrate a strong mix of the following:
  • OpenText Streamserve.
  • IBM iSeries Operating System and DB2 databases.
  • MS SQL databases, SSIS and other ETL and BI toolsets
  • MS Excel and Access including VB scripting.
  • Process mapping applications.
  • EDI platforms.
  • Web servers including MS IIS.
  • Other complex systems including CRM, DMS, PLM/PDM and CAD.
  • Programming experience with Java and / or JavaScript would also be beneficial.
These Fixed Term Contracts are based in Christchurch, however the company is open to flexible / part remote work options.
