Infrastructure Network & Security Engineer

What would I be doing?
You will be hands-on providing both engineering and BAU support for our client’s network and security infrastructure ensuring 24x7x365 availability, stability and support for a complex technical environment spread across the South Island.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining the overall technical architecture
• Design, configuration and support of firewalls, routers and switches
• Investigating and resolving faults in the existing network
• Providing onsite support during deployment projects
• Support and mentoring of junior engineers

A senior role, you can expect to work broadly across F5 Load Balancers, Juniper hardware, Palo Alto Firewalls, and VMWare Networking.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have;

• 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, including specific Network Engineering & Security
• Experience with F5 essential
• Experience with wireless tools and firewalls
• Skills in Juniper Core and/or Cisco or comparable enterprise network infrastructure
• A willingness to be customer facing, with BAU support
• CCNA certification (or working towards)

Please note for this role you must currently be in New Zealand and hold either NZ Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
