Officially launched on the 21st of February, 2011, Sourced is the brainchild of Michelle and Jason, and thrives on the basic values of genuine partnership, delivering quality 100% of the time, and being the go-to place for insight at all hours of the day!

Jason created Sourced Ltd after 13 years in the Professional Services sector, originally working in a range of Architectural roles before deciding to develop his previous experience further and branch into the IT industry in 2006. He has been (and continues to be) involved in specialist Software Training, Consulting and Support, working with a range of clients from SME’s through to Tertiary Institutions.
Sourced revolves around the idea that perception is most peoples reality – built on an enviable history in the Christchurch IT market, we strive to challenge the market and perceptions of recruitment by simply being who we are; people with passion, integrity and honesty in all that we do.
As Director and Business Owner, Jason brings a wealth of experience in business management, leadership, recruitment and managing staff, and drives the overall strategy, direction and business operation of Sourced.
Michelle has been actively involved in the New Zealand Tech Recruitment sector for many years now, originally working in Sales & Account Management in the Technology vendor space, before entering the Recruitment sector in 2003 and leading to the creation of Sourced in 2010, the very first Technology Recruitment Specialist Agency established in the Canterbury region.
Having maintained a highly respected reputation in the Technology recruitment market over her career, Michelle has partnered with a number of New Zealand’s most high-profile organisations providing end-to-end permanent and contract recruitment solutions and HR consulting services.
Michelle has a specific focus on forging long-term partnering relationships and has worked consistently with many of her clients since her entry into recruitment. Michelle has a keen interest in both Senior/Executive, and graduate recruitment and development, enjoying the challenge and satisfaction that guiding both ends of the career journey brings.
Chris joined Sourced as a Senior Recruitment Consultant in early 2014.
With over 20 years of Christchurch-based recruitment experience, Chris has previously specialised in healthcare and medical staff for the Australasian, UK, and Middle Eastern markets.
Chris’ job satisfaction comes from facilitating win-win situations. She achieves this with open and honest communication and a ‘no surprises’ approach. She prides herself on being down to earth and being able to quickly build rapport, understanding, and a lasting relationship with all those she comes into contact with.
Chris’ clients gain the benefit of her longevity in the industry through her knowledge of recruitment processes and systems, talent sourcing techniques, and her unwavering desire to get the right people into the right jobs.
Olivia joins Sourced for her second time as of March 2023, as the newest Recruitment Consultant!
Originally, Olivia joined Sourced in February 2019 having just graduated with a degree in Psychology. Keen to work in a human-centric industry, Olivia spent two and a half years as a Recruitment Resourcer and loved helping people find awesome roles, with a particular interest in graduate recruitment.
In 2021, Olivia started working at Ara – Te Pūkenga as a Youth & Community Representative, managing relationships with local & regional schools and supporting students through their transition from school into tertiary. With more stakeholder management & relationship-building skills in her toolkit, she’s excited to now be back at Sourced in the consulting space!
Olivia is passionate about building positive, long-lasting connections and matching awesome people to awesome jobs. Outside of the Sourced walls you’ll find her reading, in the gym or fulfilling her cat-mum duties.
Andrea joined Sourced as a Recruitment Resourcer in late 2021 having just entered the Christchurch IT recruitment industry.
Recently graduated with a degree in Human Resource Management, Andrea’s eagerness to build on her knowledge saw her exploring the payroll component in the accounting software space before joining the team at Sourced. Inspired by her upbringing across Sri Lanka, Qatar and New Zealand, she aims to bring a multicultural approach to relationship-building.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys cooking and making sure her husky doesn’t get in too much trouble.
Archer (Archie to his friends) joined the Sourced team in 2020 as the Chief Entertainment Officer.
Having learned (chewed) the ropes early on, Archie is instrumental in ensuring office morale is high while also ferociously defending the baby gate that keeps him in the office. Whether it be lining up for a game of ‘pull this fabric that was once a stuffed toy’ as we wait for the coffee machine to do its thing, or shamelessly positioning himself for food or pats, Archie keeps us engaged and constantly aware of where we put our feet.
Archie’s future plans within Sourced involve training more of the team to take him for lunch walkies, eating the discs from the shuffleboard table, and generally driving the ‘pat me for a mood boost’ initiative he has been working on to date.
